front suspension 1 Dec 10/2000 - Front showing the recored and painted 3 core radiator. This originally was off a 1982 1st gen RX-7. The light bar I fabbed up is shown here with some headlamps from J.C. Whitney and some turn indicators off of a 1988 Honda Shadow motorcycle. This is still the dummy engine, but as of Dec 21st I have my new engine at home but not installed. Looks fab. I'll post some pics soon.
Dec 10/2000 - Close up of the front of the light bar. It is bolted on incase I want to remove it for racing at a later date.
Dec 10/2000 - This shows how the light bar is really just a piece of 1" frame square tube. I welded on some 3/4" round tube to the ends so the turn indicators could clamp on with a small bolt.
June 13/2000 - I got some 1 3/4" 0.95 wall DOM tubing mandrel bent at CSC racing in Newmarket Ontario where I live. I mounted two truck marker lamps as a high 3rd brake light. Also visible here is one of the rear brake l lights and the fuel pump and fuel filter. I have just picked up some pricey AN fittings and braided line so I'll try and plumb the rest of the fuel system over the holidays.
Dec 10/2000 - A stainless steel header that I fabbed but then got a local shop to tig together for me. I then spent 6 hours polishing it. A pain in the rear and very messy but it turned out quite well. It's 2 1/4" primaries into a 2 1/2" collector.
Dec 10/2000 -The complete exhaust tacked together. I'm waiting for two flanges between the pre silencer and the muffler. The tubing is all 2 1/2" straight through. It's going to be very low restriction but sadly very loud.
Dec 10/2000 - This shows the nosecone and the front fenders shut after being cut and widened and the nosecone as well heightened.
Dec 10/2000 - A complete set of Autometer Pro Comp gauges. From the left fuel, tach, speedo, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and volts. There is a double poll master off switch for battery and alternator as well as the usuall accs swtiches. The big blue knob is the brake bias adjustor.
