Here it is again as a roller in Evo 1 form. You can see in this incarnation that the ride height has come down an inch and a half. Well maybe you can't see that, but trust me it has. Plus I have some other tires and yet to be purchased wheels that will bring this down another inch. At that height for the track the bottom of the chassis will be a bit under 4" off the deck and the bottom of the 13B oil pan around 2 1/2" above the very hard road surface.
Again because of parallax it is a bit hard to see how low the car is now. The front shocks are now around 15 degress off vertical, in the first version they were angled down below 45 degrees and I had to run big springs to get any decent wheel rate. The wheel rate now is slightly progressive and will allow me to go back to lighter front springs. I also redid my bottom wishbones here to do away with the outboard rod end as a ball joint. It is now an encapsulated sperical bearing at the outboard end. This also allowed me to move the bottom shock mount closer to the pivot point and below the wishbone center point to get the shock even more upright. The top mounting points for the shocks are now in a less than aesthetically pleasing place, but a good place for wheel rate.
Speaking of redoing wishbones, I had to make 4 new ones and I was able to modify the other 4. The rear shock mounting locations have changed as well. The rears are also more upright and are now mounted off the bottom wishbones rather than one side of the top of the upright. I was sure I was getting a little passive rear steer on the back because of the old mounting locations. I had ripped this off from Westfield, I should have copied something else.
Actually you can see the rear shock mounts better in this picture. Boy the back of the car is a lot narrower now. The rear track is now 53 3/4" and the front is 56 1/4". This will change a bit with the other wheel tire combo to be more like 57 front 55 rear.
